hi, have managed to get the set running now, the fault was in the primary of the power supply, but, the east west is now faulty, does anyone know where the best place to look for this fix is?? cheers!! |

The red light comes on then go's off, usually. The horizontal is part of the power supply. The primary feeds the secondary where horizontal is formed. |

oh ok, does the fault go hand in hand with the psu blowing up then?? does it give the symptons of totally dead?? thanks for your help. |

so would it be a fault in the horizontal stage thats causing it to be dead?? will it not be more of a psu fault?? |

hi has anyone got any ideas why this set is dead? replaced main psu transistor, fuse and 47 ohm resistor, then found a in4148 diode s/c. still dead, does anyone have any futher advice or info?? thanks. |
