theories based on your stated observations:
well IF your dwelling's power utility has chronically NOT been paid they will usually cut off the electricity at some point .
given the very limited info you provided, the only other opinion i can provide is that 'dvd player' just might be ... BROKEN |

| no indication of any power . tried to switch on smps typ dvd player but no power light on, no action whatsoever |
