This LXI Stereo Tuner/Amp is vintage 1987-1990, and was made in Japan for Sears, but I don't know which Japanese Electronics Mfg. made it. Local Technician says the IC Output Driver is bad and no longer available. Sears Parts lists no chassis components, only lists the mechanical 'tuning' parts (push buttons, gears for tuner, faceplate etc.) I paid this tech $80 to fix it, and he put in a newer transformer that weighed about half what the original one weiged. When I hooked it up, I found it only would drive the headphone jack but not the speakers. Appearently the technician only tested using headphones and never actually hooked the box up to a speaker. I really hate to throw this great set away. It still looks great, and the tuner works for a headset but won't drive the speakers. The Model Number is 564.92590900 and the Tech identified the intarnal IC Output Driver number as 30887, which I can't verify, not having been inside myself. Any of you electronics gurus have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Art
