| 2 FLASHES MEANS OVER CURRENT PROTECTION. CHECK TO SEE IF LINE OUTPUT TRANSISTOR IS SHORT CIRCUIT, IF IT IS CHECK FOR DRY JOINTS ON LINE DRIVE TX. IF NONE PRESENT OR FAULT PERSISTS AFTER REPLACEMENT THE LINE OUTPUT TX WILL HAVE FAILED. | |

I have a Sony Trinitron KV-29K5U TV which has developed a fault on power up, when the set is switched on the power light comes on briefly but then goes off, and subsequently flashes twice, repatedly with no sound or picture. Anyone any ideas what this means ? Thanks Nigel |
