Hi, a common fault on the ibm g40 + g50 monitors is dry joints near the mains power switch causing the monitor to be completly dead!

My IBM G40 15" digital monitor has gone faulty.

When the power is supplied and the ON button is put to ON, there is no display and not even the ON LED lights up.

I know electronics (components, soldering, tools, multimeter), and know about the parts/sections inside a monitor, but am not an experienced at fixing things. I checked The FUSE and it is OK.

Can someone show me how to fix it, or even find the fault ?

Does anyone have the service manual for it or similar (G41, G51, etc..) ?

Help ?, or have have to throw it away as it is not worth paying for it to be fixed.
