| 5 flashes is an AKB error which means the tv cannot set the grey scale correctly, unfortunately with the other symptoms you mention it sounds like the crt is on its last legs, adjusting the screen voltage may give a temporary fix but only real cure is replacing the crt which would be costly |

| PROBABLY PROBLEM WITH VIDEO OR IK. TRY AND SEE IF ADJUSTING SCREEN SETTING SLIGHTLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE. |

I have the following problem.When i switch on the tv the picture remains dark with sound, for about 2 mins.During that period the LED flashes 5 times every 2 secs.This happens 24 times.5 flashes-2 secs pause,5 flashes-2 secs pause...
There is also a screen problem.Objects and letters have a slight shadow to the right of them (which in most cases is red).Screen has lost it's clearness.
What can be wrong and what can be done about it? |
