I had the same problem stand by red light flashing 4 times. Found out it was my horizontal burned out. I had my TV for 7yrs or more. I have investigated into service charges and found out it's cheaper to get a new one. And that's what I'm doing. And let me tell you it's going to be a light weight one....lol That sucker weighs a ton and then some. Good Luck and May the Force be with you. Ally |

| My Sony color TV (KV-27S40) stopped working while watching TV. No problmes since day one - now, there is no sound or video (no text display, menu, NOTHING !)
The red STANDBY light flashes FOUR times and pause and FOUR times again in a loop. Hope this gives some idea and hopefully can narrow down to the problem with this error code. Reset (with power button on TV and reset on remote) did not help either. Thanks for any help ! DK |
