| Hi, i've just had the same problem where i needed to change the hard drive.. i have managed to locate it.
there are 2 screws directly underneath the CD/DVD drive, and the drive will slide out. The hard drive is hidden behind the DVD drive, just undo the 2 screws in the plastic holder and the hard drive will slide out too. | Hi everyone,
I have a Compaq Presario 2710 laptop and I am having a heck of a time finding a technical manual for it. I need to replace the hard drive, and after doing some exploratory surgery on it I can't seem to find where it's located exactly. I thought it would be much easier than this, but it might be as hard as removing an iBook hard drive. I stumbled on this site but the closest manual I was able to find was in the 2500 series. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance, John |
