| I pulled the back cover off and took a look around. Not must dust (was recently at the shop) but I was kinda wondering if there might be something wrong with the converter that attaches to the power supply. Any way to test it if I can't actively turn the TV on?
Also, if that's not the problem, anyone have a diagnostic sheet or schematics for a Zenith Z50Z83R8 projection screen TV they could email / IM me? I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance... ~Russ~ |

| Ok. I just got this TV from a friend and it doesn't have anything (no pic & no sound). My friend said she took it to a repair shop and had the power supply replaced. It worked for about 3 hours and completely shut itself off and hasn't worked since. I asked if I could take it off her hands and she said, "If you can fix it, it's yours..." So, here I am.
Any advice on where to start? (I figure replacing the power supply will come eventually, but what should I look for first?) Thanks, in advance... |
