I have a RCA HDTV 32in Flat screen TV, and it did the same thing. Pop, Pop, hiss, hiss, and than turn itself off.
It was the flyback transformer.... About 89 dollars |

| I HAVE A 36" RCA TV THAT IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING IT TURNS ON AND OFF AND HISSES AND THEN SHUTS DAOWN . I AM GETTING IT LOOKED AT ON 12/29 SO AS SOON AS I FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG I WILL POST IT FOR YOU |

Hi,
I have a 36' inch tv made by rca even though it was under a sears brand the tv makes a loud hissing noise and pops after a while and goes off. Anyone have any ideas why? |
