My tv just suddently went off this evening. I powered it on again and it stayed on for just about 10 seconds and then powered off again. I want to know if there might be a resent button to push and if wo where is it located? |

We just had the 3d convergence issue fixed. Turns out on ours it was a blown fuse and some loose connections on the horizontal output transformer. So, wasn't a pricey fix at all. As for the intial setup menu running at every power on... still have that problem.
If anyone can help shut this off I would be most grateful.... feel free to email me at [email protected] |

I have the same problem with my R52WH74. The convergence just went one day and there is no menu I can find to set convergence. I got into the boot setup menu with the down keys but there is nothing that says convergence anywhere. RCA is no help at all. Its out of warranty so they could give a crap. I guess I hope to bump this thread. Maybe someone who fixed the problem will see it. |

Hello, I have the 3D color problem as well. I can't find a convergence menu of any kind, even in the service menu. My regular setup menu doesn't have the MENU>SETUP>VIDEO, where the auto convergence is supposed to be, and I have looked everywhere else. I am too much a noob for the service menu, there was a lot of stuff I didn't figure out. I tried resetting to factory and default where I could, and tried anything marked "auto", to no avail. I have tried powering off the set for days to "reboot" it, and all it asks me for is Language, then source, then auto-tune for channels, it never does convergence. Is it really in the midst of the service menu??? It seemed I found some manual R, G, and B settings that I toyed back and forth with, but it didn't change the picture that I could tell. If anyone could help me with the service menu or anything else, please PM/email me!

I woke up this morning and my tv looks like it's broadcasting in 3D. After reading the manual appears the convergence is off(for some reason). There is not and adjustment for this under the setup menu as the manual states. I tried to enter the "menu" + "channel down" +"volume down" for 8 seconds and nothing happens. I hope this is a setting problem and it's not the TV tripping. It's less than a year old. It is an RCA R52WH74 model.

Thanks for buying RCA. |

I am having a very strange problem with an r52wh74. When in 1080i mode, the image is "too big". As in, it overfills the screen. It works fine over standard definition programming, and anything in 480p mode. It only seems to happen in 1080i mode. I am not having any luck getting into any service mode thus far. I power off the TV, and then hold the menu, vol down, and channel down buttons at the same time for quite a while, but, the tv does not seem to turn on or go into any service mode. Any suggestions on why the service mode isn't working, or what to do about this overfilling of the screen in 1080i mode??? |

it may not have a ctc chassis number but it DOES have a chassis number. without that number i would not be able to assist you. thanx |
I believe for the R52WH74 that would be :
ITC222A
At least it is on mine. I hope this helps. |
