I TOO have a sony kpr53ex35, and i was wondering if you could advize me on its problem.
when i got it the previous owner said that it quit one day (no pic just sound) so she was giving up on it...then a couple days later it fired up with a pic for a coulpe hours then quit the same way again. then she gave it to me
After a thurough dusting out, i powered it up and got no visible raster at all. I did however hear the tell-tale super high pitch hiss of high voltage high frequency.. the CRT filiments were glowing and the HV HF hiss would change slightly when i changed input feeds (comp.video or tuner) or when i switched the convergence crosshair to "test" or "normal" --but all the while still no crt raster visible. i haven't expierenced this "hiss" sound with no picture at all before.
any suggestions for solution would be appreciated very much
