| Does anyone know whether two very similar VCR head drums are interchangeable? I have an NEC DS6000A and its upper drum part number is 82671AH1. NEC does not supply this part anymore. I managed to get a very similar drum (82B26AH1) and apparently its for the DS6000G. Both are very similar machines (S-VHS with digital filters), but the G version lacks the flying erase head and the corresponding pins. Now, I'm wondering if its possible to put a 'G' drum into my 'A' machine? Are there any other differences that prevent this? |
