| Thanks for your help, but I've already tried leaving the set turned off as a last ditch effort, and sadly nothing changed! |

I believe one of the functions in service mode is in fact the OSD brightness level. That may have been the one you tweaked accidentally. I'm not sure which one it is, (IE how many button presses to go into the mode)
If you have NOT saved the changes you have made, you are probably still good! UNPLUG the set, and let it sit for 30 minutes or more. Plug it back in, and try again. BTW, if you didn't save your other adjustments, they will also return back to their previous settings too! |

| Sounds stupid but, did you unplug the set for a bit and see if you can re-enter the service mode? |
