Thanks for the reply.
I don't really have any way to check capacitors. I'll just wait 'till another failure and either replace all PSU caps, leave to a repair shop, or replace the set. I haven't repaired anything electronic for about 15 years. Still fun.

My idea is that you forgot to check the caps, those are mostly like the cause of most faults, ESR is important because they may check good capacitance but they dry. |

Think this is a 11AK19PRO chassis.
During recent PSU repair replaced Q802(s/c), D826(s/c), D827(s/c),
R825(o/c), IC802(as percaution) and also D807(PCB scorched even though this
diode ok). Set appears to work fine, but fails again after a few days -
will not come out of standby. D807 (BA159) found s/c both times. Any hints
why D807 keeps failing? Is s/c more likely from overcurrent or overvoltage
spike?
