| After a little research, it seems there are two likely candidates for this problem.
I gather that a corrupted EEPROM can give these symptoms. The other, more remote possibility (?) is a fault in the E/W or power supply, but I can't verify this as I can't get the set to stay on long enough to test anything. Grandata do a PSU reliability kit, but I can't source the EEPROM, which presumably must be pre programmed? Any ideas where I might source the EEPROM? Or anyone have any other ideas? Thanks. |

| This set comes out of standby without problems, a full modulated raster appears for about a second, and then the set shuts down not giving me much of a chance to figure out what's going on. I used to fix these things for a living in the mid eighties, but things have definitely moved on! Anybody care to point me in the right direction?
