Tiger Direct Parts (http://tigerdirect.partsearch.com) shows a surprisingly long list of discrete parts for the DSPA1, and prices look favorable, to me. I have no experience with them but am thinking about ordering Service Manual and extra remote to have for back-up.

Am also having intermittant display problem, which I assume relates to the solder joints, as you mentioned. I am not a tech, but used to build Heath kits years ago. I was debating opening it up to try to reheat the solder joints myself, but was concerned about causing further problems. Your experience (and my lack of experience) has given me pause. Glad to know any further insights/outcome.

Hello,
I have an Yamaha DSPA1 with a fault of the display. Originally the PCB developed dery solder joints, i repaired these and in this process the screen develpoped further display problems. 2 of the characters looklike they have a bunch of characters overlaping in the one character. I replaced the display all together and it is still their. I re-checked the PCB but it looks good. Any thoughts?

Or alternatevly does anyone know where i can get the right information or replacement pCB to fix this problem?? I called Yamaha and they only sell a pack of boards for the entire amp which cost's $1500.00
