| The service manual for this receiver is only 2 pages. It shows the differences in part numbers between the VSX-498 and the VSX 508. The manual to be used to repair this receiver is the VSX-508 and can be purchased and downloaded at http://www.justmanuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=11618 for $9.99
