| I'd suspect IC8002, C8032, C8037, C6518, and C6532. These are a bitch to trouble shoot. We send the boards back to Sony for phase three repair. | |

| Perfect picture and sound, set is about 4 yrs old.
KV-34HS420 shuts down to standby, after 5 min to 5 hrs. Led flashing 7,on screen menu error code shows 6 or 6 and 7 sometimes. Anybody have the repair manual? I have the service manual. [email protected] please remove nospam Chassis is a DA-4. I have read a lot of the shutdown related answers, solder, ic replacement, dried electrolytics, even a sony bulletin for a different older model where adjustment of 3 pots done at sony by sending in board for credit. Two of my HV pots were stabilized by sony before it was sold, one has white paint the other looks like phillips head filled with silicone. What is the possibility of the new satellite Directv put up for HD, they changed over to new signal type, problem showed up with the increased hd programs in the new format especially on showing a dvr hd movie 
Directv hd20-700 dvr handled the old and the new signal. |
