A simple test would be to draw out the radio and hook up a temporary wire directly to its antenna connector. Also, check out the reception on both AM and FM bands. If only one of the bands doesn't work, then the trouble is in the radio.
Some Ford models use the heated rear window as radio antenna, on those models there is a filter/preamplifier unit fitted under the rear window. If that unit loses its power supply (for instance, due to a blown fuse) or gets faulty, you will have no radio reception. |
