I have the same problem, however, mine went out verrrrry slooooowly with the machine powering up some of the time, and usually after the battery was completely charged or charged for sometime. Now it will not come on at all. Do you have other suggestions for me? Thanks a million! rstevetipton at bellsouth.net |

| I am assuming you have tried both with and without your battery installed. Also did you try the reset button for the system board ? Its possible your switch or power plug have gone bad as well. These faults can be checked but you need to disassemle the laptop to do this. If those all check out, more than likely your motherboard is bad

| My Gateway Solo 1450 is getting power but nothing kicks on the fan wont spin and the hard drive light won't come on.
