Problem fixed. Found several bad components in overload detect circuit. |

My error . . . I had the wrong button sequence for daig mode. Unit does power up as before, but I still have a protection error. I'll check things out again and post another update. |

Hi All -
Here's another one that has me somewhat puzzled.
I replaced the PAC014 amp module (which was defintely bad) on this like-brand-new VSX-818. Since doing so, I cannot get the silly thing to power up normally or diag mode, even with power replay bypassed.
Prior to replacing the PAC014, I could power up in diag mode.
The standby voltage is good. With power replay bypassed, all other voltages are good.
I hate to think I zapped the CPU.
Am I overlooking something obvious that's particular to these Pioneers' ?
