Sony Vaio PCG-7A1M / VGN-FS215E Weird Blank Screen Fault

Hi guys, I have the above laptop, which has a strange fault.
It sticks at a blank screen with the three lights (Caps /Num and Scroll Lock) stuck on. Now and again I can get it to come on properly and it works 100% fine until I switch off and then it wont come on again. It seems to boot properly when it feels like it.

I stripped down to the bare board and looked for faults but cant find any, it's an intel graphics chip which I reflowed anyway to no effect.

Any Ideas?
