| all you need is a vertical ic, andmaybe one or two caps,.take the back off and look at it you will find the ic on a heat sink at the right hand side in th rear,.find the number and get an ic and replace it, carl | |

| I have a 10 year old Toshiba 27" tv that broke. The sound is fine but the picture shows only a very narrow horizontal line, I suspect that the picture is inside the line but can't see it.
Assuming that we have no need or desire for a newer TV, is this one worth fixing? My previous experiences with local electronics repair is a $35 fee to tell me that the device is not worth fixing. Thanks for any replies. |
