| Thanks again for your input but as I mentioned in my original post I am a hack and hence not that savvy where a 98 page manual would help me. I am just in dire need of help with this issue from someone who knows what they are doing. | |

| The one in that link is 33 pages. The manual I have is 98 pages. I think the 'free' version is missing something. | |

| Hello,
I have a vizio vw42l that I got for free. The guy I got it from said he heard a loud "zap" noise then the screen went black. When the power button is pressed the unit come on for about 2 seconds then goes black again. I am somewhat of a hack and removed the back cover and visually inspected all of the readily accesible board and could find nothing obviously wrong. One interesting side note. I powered the unit on with the inverter boards ungrounded and the unit came on and stayed on with a flickering picture. As soon as I grounded either one of the inverters the screen went black again. What should I replace? Thanks in advance for your advice.... |
