| The intermittent problem could point to poor solder connections on the tuner board. A good way to check is to lightly tap the tuner and observe the picture. Once you find the likely area, resolder anything that looks cracked. |

| We have a ferguson tx from the 1970s when i started work at Thorn EMI.It has recently had intermitent channel memory failure when switching on and also sometimes intermitent no pic/sound only like ghosting.My local repairer says its the tuner but didnt look at the set .He did say it would be unlikely to be able to get one.Can the above problems be repaired on the tuner or not or is it something else ? It a good tv and the Quality is better the new tvs |
