You can check the LED output by pointing it to a camera or camcorder and viewing the result on the camera.
Most of them work in the Infared range so you'll see the LED flash if it is outputting. |

The remote is easily tested with switching a LW wave AM radio on... Medium wave will work too, pressing the remote whilst holding close to the radio's internal antenna.
We need be careful though... I've repaired umpteen remotes with bad connections on the LED diode emitter. So if it squawks like a chicken and still doesn't work check the LED emitter for bad connections.

Samsung LE26C450 - Good picture & sound but no response from remote control. Remote tests ok, Any ideas please ?
How do I get to the remote sensor in the TV ? Have removed the screws but can't get the white plastAnyody got a circuit diagram of the remote
