My problem is that the T.V. will not turn on. There are three lights near the power button: power, temp, and lamp. When the power button is hit, the three lights flash from right to left, and there is a strange buzzing sound that comes out of the rear of the T.V. also the lamp light stays on when the T.V. is turned off.

I bought the T.V. off of a friend of a friend and I don't have a manual.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I'm sorry i couldn't get more technical...

Sounds like you need the lamp replaced. Pull out the lamp and see if it's broken inside. The buzzing you here is the ballast trying to light the lamp.
