RCA 61" DLP HDTV problem

This TV is about 5 years od. I have had to replace the bulb and color wheel several times. Now there is a kind of shadow over part of the picture and the brightness is greatly diminished. The bulb, color wheel and mirrors all seem to be fine. I have been told tht the problem may be in the tunnel of the light engine or a weakening power supply.
