also, what do you mean by "check the fluid" on the signal board??? & why TV works after resetting it?
thanks for all your generous help!

faulty caps tend to leak some of their fluids visibly on board.

updates! TV made a pop noise then it shuts off. wait few minutes and will turn on again. ( TV only get signal once it get reset. otherwise blue screen) also, when watching sometimes volume go low then back to normal. have you ever had this type of problem before? I haven't had a chance to go at friends house to check DM boards again. but, what do you think it is?

minnie, I swear I think his tv is posess!

Sounds like fluid damage. The coolant leaks out of the picture tubes and drips on the boards.

minnie, how do I check the fluid leakaged? where is the picture tube located? I thought this TV doesn't have picture tubes anymore? well, you guys know better than I do so, where I do start looking for fluid leaks? and, which board to look for? I guess the caps on DMboard that I replaced are ok! since TV powers On. but, how do I fix the leakage or the problem on this TV??? btw this TV has 3 projectors lights...

thanks again for all your help.

Remove the speaker grill and you'll see the plate. Take a light and look for fluid that dripped. Is it still working?

( im a network engineer ) just trying to help a friend.

thanks again for your quick respond...

I open the front of the TV and, checked for any leaks on each picture tube boards & the rest of the boards inside but couldn't find any fluid leaks. I assumed if leaking there would be a wet spot on any of the boards but there isn't any. all boards are dry... also, they said TV didn't work the morning I came to there house but, when I unplug from outlet & plug it back in it works again. weird ha! I don't know what else to check & you proly running out of suggestion. lol but, hey it was good talking to you and thank you for all your help. I really appreciate it...

but, if you have one last thing for me to check(lol) then, ill give it another try. Very Happy otherwise we're done!

thanks

Try this, if you keep having to hit the rest button, unplug the front key pad to see it you don't have a bad tach switch. Simply use the remote to turn it on.
