Icey: I have not done any more work on this unit since my last post.
But as I said before when I removed Q7, Q8, Q9, Q10, Q11, Q12, Q13, Q14, and then try switching on the unit, the unit powers up, and stays on, but the backlight does not come on.
If you shine a bright light on the screen at the right angle you can see that the screen is working, and with a few presses of the menu button, you can get to a program and you will also have sound.
I am still trying to hunt down a Schematic for the unit or just the power board, but as yet have been unable to.
Can you please let us know how you get on.
Best Regards. |

If you look at the PCB's you can see the logo for Nexgen Mediatech Inc.
So it looks like Matsui have just rebaged it, so I am trying to find out what the model number is for Nexgen Mediatech Inc. |

This "CHIMEI N-3205" looks very much like the Matsui LM20N2.

I too have the same problem as you, just wondering if you have managed to source the caps yet, I can see the ones on digikey but the postage as far as i can work out is $59. The caps are only $4. cannot seem to source anything in the UK, have been to all the local TV repair shops around Norwich and nothing.
I can get the whole PCB for $149, but the TV is not worth that sort of money, especially when the components if sourcable are only going to be $10 at most.
Also one question, when searching for 0.27uf caps i get alot of results for 270nf is it the same, i get confused with it all sometimes??
Thanks for any info, Mark. |

Nano, micro and pico (farad) are NOT the same. Nano is mainly used in Europe.
Three prefixes (multipliers) are used, µ (micro), n (nano) and p (pico):
* µ means 10-6 (millionth), so 1000000µF = 1F
* n means 10-9 (thousand-millionth), so 1000nF = 1µF
* p means 10-12 (million-millionth), so 1000pF = 1nF
So .27uf is equal to270nf or 270000pf |
