Tech tells me I need a new circuit board and the parts production has stopped. Anyone know anything about getting parts which are out of production for this TV?

Much appreciated.

Ha. I guess, since I know very little of these problems, I have started a bit vague. I can tell you that the sound is not as loud as it used to be, it is muffled at high volumes and a low volume static/white noise can be heard. Also, in the upper right hand corner, the picture has begun to turn purple. If the receipt for the trouble call turns up, I can look it over to see if any parts or P/Ns are called out. In its absence, all I have are the manifested symptoms.
