Hitachi bigscreen won't power up

I unplug it for several days, plug it back in and the green lights on the circuit board come on for a few seconds. Then I unplug it and plug it right back in and nothing happens.

There is very faint buzzing sound in the area where the power chord goes into the circuit board.

I've removed the circuit board to inspect and clean it.

I did have to cut the 3 heavy red wires that run to each light bulb. I cut them at the base where they go in the black box attached to the circuit board.

Can anyone give some advice? Could it be some broken soldered connections? The TV is 11 years old.
