T.V. Problem

I recently purchased a 26 inch HD TV, made by Coby..... Can anyone please shed some light on this.....The T.V. sporadically turns itself on at various times of day and night. Yet, all the timers are in the off position!!!!!

Don't know the set but a fault may be present as this is obviously abnormal. You could check the mains plug if not the fitted type and put the remote in a drawer to ensure this is not the cause although sets should be switched off using the mains on/off switch particularly at night.
If recently purchased as stated it may be wise to just return it for repair/replacement as the warranty will be void if repair attempted.
Incidentally timers should be reset if switched off and on again at the mains switch/plug.
