SONY KV-21FT1K, widescreen mode too dim

Hello, I have a little problem with the widescreen (16:9) mode on this TV, compared to normal 4:3 it is too dim.
Is there a setting in the service menu, or maybe a trimpot on the circuit board to change this?
The weird thing is that while in the service menu, swtiching between 4:3 and 16:9, the 16:9 mode is actually brighter (exactly the opposite than what is my problem).

Anyone can help?
