I just got an e-mail back from yamaha electronics about the lamp for the display on my bookshelf stereo.

They gave me this part number: VH471600 - a small lamp with 2 wires connecting to a white connector that goes to the electronic board.

My stereo is the RX-S70.

The part costs $6.96 with $5.00 UPS Ground shipping. Will arrive in 5 to 10 business days.

NOT BAD!!!!

good luck.

Their phone number is 714-522-9888 ( 8 am to 4 pm PST)

I just got the display lamp in the mail today. The wires were shorter than what was originally in there, but it fit with plenty of spare length. I put it all back together and wha-la. It works perfectly. Awesome and for under $12. Not bad, since any stereo repair joint would probably charge $150 and still not fix it.
