Kenwood compact disc stereo system RXD-25L

Hello,

I have a Kenwood stereo system model RXD-25L. Problem with that device is that the CD player does not work at all. Nothing happens when disc is inserted. What should I check first? Any clues what can cause this?

You most likely have to replace the optical unit, which is a kss-210a, it´s probably burned out. I have replaced it in my rxd-25l very recently and it works like new again. And besides, kss-210a is a cheap model, so you might as well give it a try.
