I feel better now, I was able to finally get the case off, I wasn't prying enough inbetween the panels. I removed the shielding and now I see I have a FSP212-3F01. I'm going to try and survey the capacitors and use a mutli-meter to determine some voltages and if I want to try soldering replacement components or just replace the whole board. I think I would need a new wire harness if I replaced it with FSP212-3F02 right?
update: I just ordered the board and wire harness from electronics-usa. the two other websites that had better prices are out of stock and its my parents tv. I examined the power supply and saw a few bulged capacitors and on the underside of the board some brown tinged marks around some solder points. I'm not sure if that's leftover resin or burn/leaking capacitors. |

Hi Folks,
Well this will be my last update. I finally got my power supply and installed it the other day. Works great. The adapter on the new power supply is just long enough to plug in. I found that taking a pair of pliers and gently squeezing the adapter into the slot worked well.
The only thing else I wanted to say was that it seemed most posters had the red power light on the front of the TV stay on when their power supply died. Mine was completely dead with no light on. So don't worry if that red light is out because a new power supply will fix the problem.
So if nothing goes wrong you shouldn't hear from me again! If I keep this bookmark long enough I'll post again if this power supply breaks. |

I just finished installing my new part as well, and it worked like a charm. It's working great and tv is back up and operational. This thread helped alot.
Thanks |

I've got a dead FSP212-3F01.
Can someone please tell me what the values are for RS8 and RS1? On my board they appear to have been removed.
Also, I'm not getting any voltage on the secondary of either transformer. I'm assuming that T2 feeds the 5vsb. What voltages are supposed to be present on the primary pins of T2?
Pins for CNS1 and CNS2 are NOT labeled with their function on my board. Can someone confirm that my guess below for these pins is correct?
Quote: |
My guess for CNS1 PINOUT
1-4 gnd
5-6 +12v?
7-9 +5v?
10 5v standby?
11 to CNS2 pin 9 probably pwm input for inverter
12 to CNS2 pin 10 probably pwm input for inverter
My guess for CNS2 PINOUT
1-4 gnd
5-8 +24v to inverter?
9 to CNS1 pin 11 probably pwm input for inverter
10 to CNS1 pin 12 probably pwm input for inverter |

Ok so I have been dealing with ALOT of these. I buy broken TV sets and fix then re-sell
Viewsonic 26-32 and 37 inch have come in my hands TOOO many times.
I can help on most aspects but normally all I have to do on the 32 inch PSU boards is replace the burnt out caps (usually replacing the 1500uf 16v with 2200uf 25v) and then replace Q7 and ZD4 and ZD3
I have 2 sets here that I could use some advise, I have gone through all steps and I nromally do but the TV now gets power (thanks to replacing the burnout out ZD4) but no back light or sound so the TV is not full power. should I replace all the Q transistors as I have tried 4 with Q7 but I have never had an issue with any other than Q7. Thanks much and any help is great |

Hello
I'm new here. I have a Yakumo TV LCD TV 81J. It has a power supply FSP212-REV 3F01: 1 TV is likely to be after the storm. Systems are damaged IC1 and IC2, and all the associated elements for systems with transistors Q4, Q1 and Q2. Spent most of the tracks are in addition to those systems from the inverter. I want to buy a whole new power supply to the TV but I'm not sure if something more is not damaged in the plate more, since it is after the storm. Therefore, please write what are the tensions at the appropriate pin CNS2 złączaCNS1 and I could plug another adapter and see if the TV is working properly before you buy a new original FSP. Yours and I'm waiting for a response. |

Power-On.com has the FSP212-3F02 & includes the cable needed to replace the FSP212-3F01 for $49.
Being a guest I can't post a link.
Replacing the bad caps isn't a big deal, but considering the time and the possibility that you mat still have a bad diode. $50 sounds like a better option.
Not dissin all the tinkerers out there. By all means keep up the good work. |
