lg 42" no sound and weired picture.

hi i have a lg scarlet 42" model 42lg6100

sets powers up but theres no sound and a weired sort of fuzzy picture?

anyone have any ideas what it might be?

someone suggested it might be lcd but would that also cause no sound?
