The 75 ohm cable connector broke off the back of the television. Can I fix this myself? If I take the tv apart is there a part I can replace? |

Easiest way for the do-it-yourselfer with mediocre soldering skills to do this repair is to replace the tuner. Most sets will have a replaceable tuner, although there are a few, GE/RCA comes to mind, where the tuner is part of the main board.
Some sets have the RF connector attached to a switch box. The same holds true. Your best bet if the part is available is to replace the whole box.
Of course, if your soldering skills are much better you can try to reattach the original (or a replacement) connector to the tuner or switch box. Just be aware ... plastic melts! _________________ You're over there, I'm over here. |
