DYNEX lcd 22 inch distorted

Hi, my tv is distorted picture and sound for quite some time now (it freezes and every few seconds and u can see the little squares on the screen), and appears to be getting worse. before it would only be distorted sometimes, or only on higher channels and not lower, but now it appears to be on all of them all the time...

at first i thought it was the cable but there is nothing wrong with it.

please help.

Play a dvd and see if it happens or disconnect the cable and up an antenna in it. Sounds like a cable issue to me.
