I had a concave geometry and mis-aligned R G B shadow on this used HDTV an RCA d52w20 RCA itc222 :
-all three fuses near flybak had continuity (when hot or not)
-had a convergence menu in both service and customer modes
-unit would not auto nor manually converge (would turn red -green-black over about 2 seconds and return to menu again
-manual geometry settings had no control or affect
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
on advice from an online store, I bought an $83 dollar Flyback kit with H.O.T. transistor and two caps that usually are replaced when repairing the HOT

Now the unit does not even come on.
I have done lots of soldering and am sure of the orientation and placement of the HOT , Caps , and FlyBack (FB). Also have the service manuals and am sure of the cable connections; though, not of the cable connection "thru-continuity" (yet).

However, on the the FB the red wire does not insert as mechically tight as the "pin-n-sleeve" type insert connection of the black FB wire? Instead it just pushes down thru a material at the bottom of the FB HV Red wire hole ?

Now, no picture at all just the typical 3 blink accompanied by the simultaneous windup highfreq. tones on or near the rear High Voltage section of the
PSB ITC222 Board (FlyBack Board).

Checked the terminal posts at brown & blue wire pair (terminals- bp610 and bp611) at the rear left of the PSB (FB Board) were the power comes from the main power filter board into the PSB Board and splits off, going to the PSDF ITC222 board....... got 120vdc to ground on the one pin and approx 300vdc pin to pin (measured while plugged in, but not during flashes with tone).

Will a bad cap howl with that high pitch tone if bad?

any way HELP if you can think of anything ?

I am $83 in the hole and still sinking a PSB board is $140~$170 right ?

Thanks !!!

Does it revert to PRIOR symptoms if you swap the parts back?

I mis typed the model number
My TV is the ........... rca d52w20yx1
................................ITC222

259296 is the FlyBack that I installed.
I even re-installed the old FlyBack to see if I could get the picture back!?
To no avail ?? Did not put back the old H.O.T. yet ??
I am about ready to buy an osciloscope and make it my hobby, to methodically go thru the service diags. and check the complete trouble shooting flow chart.

It seems; I am going backwards; it is an awful thing?
