This may be old news for most people, but here goes:-

Press SETUP.

Select SYSTEM INFORMATION (i) on the menu banner.

Press 1,1,0,1, then ENTER. On the remote keypad

Press 0, then ENTER

Hey presto! Your machine is now region free
