Now there are three standards that belong to GPON series: GPON, XG PON and XGS PON.
\XGS PON. X stands for 10, G stands for Gigabit, S stands for Symmetry, PON stands for passive optical network.
Which means: GPON = Gigabit PON
XG PON = 10 Gigabit PON
XGS PON = 10 Gigabit symmetric PON. |
