Philips tv woes

On starting from cold, my Philips 28" PW 6506 (crt) flat screen, it switches off only for me to have to turn it on a couple of times for the tv to start up. Once started the screen is all compressed and takes a minute for the tv to 'warm up' then open to a normal screen.
When the screen shows briight white scenes, just the right hand side of the screen wavers (or wobbles!) about an inch or so inwards - pretty unstable at the edge. I get a normal picture when no bright areas on the screen appear.
Any ideas?
