Philips TV Mod# 27pt6441/37

HELP NEEDED...Philips TV mod. # 27pt6441/37--stoped working--no picture, sound---zilch. Power button does not respond. Remote does not respond (yes it is pluged in and batteries are good). To me it appears that it is the power supply. A friend told me that some units have a fuse inside similar to a "auto" fuse. Is this correct? If so, would anyone know where it might be located or is it obvious when I take the cover off. If it is not a simple fix, I would prefer to leave it to a repair shop. Any suggestions...
