Panasonic vcr NV-SD20EA - need info from manual

Hi, I am desperately seeking a manual, or information from one (I have lost mine, alas), so that I can trouble shoot my vcr - a Panasonic NV-SD20EA. It will play tapes perfectly, but is refusing to record.

I have had this problem before, and I know I somehow managed to fix it by pushing some button - but can't remember what I did!

Does some kind soul please have a manual which might have some info on this problem?
