panasonic hdtv power problems model ct34wx52

I have a panasonic hdtv that is two years old. I press the power button and the power led lights you hear the tv energizing and the relay clicks then it shuts off. you have to unplug it after that or it is totally dead. Does anyone now what the problem is? I was going to replace the whole power board but panasonic has discontinued it.

I too had the same problem 16 months ago - and the authorized repair company replaced a horizontal control board ( $150 ) .... and now it happened again.

Have you heard if Panasonic has addressed this re-occuring issue ?

Per Panasonic's web site, "After pressing the power button the unit attempts to turn on, and then shuts down." IC 801.
