JVC DVD player stand-by light??

Tonight, I was messing around with some of the set-up options of my JVC DVD player (XV-NP10S) when I noticed, all of a sudden my DVD screen shut off.. like the player had been turned off. Yet, the green "on" light still showed over the power button; not the red "off" light.

Now, my player will not come on, eject the DVD, etc.. yet the "on" light is glowing. Maybe this is common, but I do not have ANY experience with fixing electronics. Any help would be great! Thank you for your time.
