SAMSUNG 1710 printer problem

Greetings, does anyone knows how can I write new firmware od reseter ml-1710, I have a problem, when I send something to print, even a print test page, printer only prints few milimeters from the upper margin and the rest of page is blank, then a red error light appears, and after some time printer again by itself prints that same page, same problem, and green light appears. Toner cartridge is OK, heater is OK, I think something's wrong with the firmware or memory..so can I flash or reset memory?.
